JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for developing tools for data and decision discovery, analytics data set assets and modeling. This job will manage the team by assessing business and learner needs and provide detailed business and technical requirements.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Design, build and extract large and complex data sets while partnering with learning teams across business lines
  • Lead the design and implementation of the operations analytics data set and statistical data quality procedures for existing and new data sources
  • Understand operational business use cases and translate to data and modeling actions
  • Perform project management duties as needed to support data collection projects and the implementation of new reporting resources
  • Work with large volume, heterogeneous data sets
  • Lead large-scale data studies and perform exploratory data analysis for new data sources or new uses of existing data sources
  • Use operational research techniques and work closely within the learning teams to ensure projects meet their needs.
  • Visualize and report data findings creatively in a variety of visual formats that appropriately provide insight to users
  • Conduct root cause analysis of operational trends and identify variations in key performance indicators
  • Assist in implementation, evaluation, reporting, and analysis of core quality, knowledge and training initiatives
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with business stakeholders to analyze and understand human capital management
  • Perform other duties as requested
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
  • Systemic thinking of data relationships and causes of problems
  • Ability to understand what the data means to the Business
  • Strong problem-solving orientation
  • Analytical skills as well as writing, presentation and data visualization skills
  • Ability to prioritize work streams to achieve the maximum business value
  • Great cross-group collaboration and strong team player
  • Must be self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work with minimum supervision
  • Excellent statistical analysis, quantitative analytics, forecasting/predictive analytics, multivariate testing, and optimization algorithms skills
  • Proficient in SQL Query, OLAP, MOLAP, ROLAP, Excel and Tableau
  • Understand the design and implementation of data warehousing, relational databases, and post relational databases
  • Ability to solve complex business problems using data while developing/leading a team
Related Work Experience
  • Data manipulation and statistical modeling experience in a large scale data, transactional, and real time networks and systems; 5+ years
  • Business Intelligence project management; 3+ years
  • Management experience; 3+ years
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Operations Research, AI, Statistics, Economics, Quantitative Analysis or other related field or equivalent experience (e.g. BI and/or database management certifications)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
  • Knowledge of Business Intelligence and Analytics Solutions project
Related Work Experience
  • Relevant corporate experience in a large Fortune 500 company
  • Experience in languages such as VB, .net, C#, C++
