Job Description
The nation’s largest in-school dental program is looking for Expanded Function Dental Assistants, EFDA’s, to provide dental services to children who may not otherwise receive dental care.
For almost 20 years, Smile Programs/ Smile Pennsylvania has been changing lives, one small smile at a time. We need your help to reach many more children in need.
You can make a difference every day, every patient. We need full-time qualified Expanded Function Dental Assistants, EFDA’s to provide quality care in Allegheny, Westmoreland, Beaver, Venango, and Somerset counties.
NO evenings or weekends! Summers OFF!
Responsibilities :
- 4-handed / chair-side dental assisting
- Digital radiography
- Charting of patient treatment plan
- Equipment set-up, breakdown, and sterilization assistance
- Daily travel to and from school sites
Qualification:
- Must hold active CPR card and x-ray certification.
- Must have 1+ years Dental Assisting experience in restorative procedures.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel daily to school.
Skills :
- Works well with others (especially children)
- Ability to work well in fast-paced environment
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Able to multi-task
- Must be able to carry 55 lbs.
