Headway Workforce Solutions is currently seeking a Logistics and Security Coordinator for a contract opportunity in New Kensington, PA with our partner, an energy industry leader committed to creating innovative and sustainable solutions that move the world forward.Position Overview: The Logistics and Security Coordinator position will facilitate the safety and supply chain operations. This position will report to the facility manager. The main focus of this job is to coordinate and operate the shipping and receiving of goods for the location.

Responsibilities:

  • Logistics:
    • Well-versed in supply management principles and practices
    • Record-keeping abilities and a customer-oriented approach
    • Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations
    • Plan and track the shipment of final products according to customer requirements
    • Keep logs and records of warehouse stock, executed orders etc.
  • Security:
    • Enforcement of policies for site regarding entry and exit to property.
    • Oversee the visitor access, employee access badges, and building security hardware.
    • Ensure premises, assets, and personnel comply to security protocol
  • Facilities:
    • Conduct daily walk-through of site to complete checklist items
    • Support housekeeping efforts site
    • Perform light duty maintenance activities

Requirements:

  • High school diploma/GED required
  • 5+ years’ experience in customer service or logistics management
  • Use of material handling equipment, i.e. fork tucks, hand carts, etc.
  • Capable to lift 40 lbs
  • Ability to work with little supervision and track multiple processes
  • Computer-savvy with Microsoft business software, i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Outstanding organizational and coordination abilities
  • Communication and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment

Preferred:

  • Inventory maintenance experience a plus
  • Previous experience with security or law enforcement
  • Knowledge of shipping laws, regulations and ISO requirements
  • Working knowledge of logistics software (ERP, Oracle, Access, etc
