The Opportunity

Under the direction of the Assistant Retail Manager, is responsible for the complete operation of an assigned retail store/ stand.  Trains personnel, and directs the work activities of others.

Essential Functions:

• Sets a proper example through reporting to work at the scheduled time in complete uniform with clothing and personal appearance neat and clean.  Presents a cooperative work attitude and accepts job responsibilities.
• Ensures personnel meet appearance standards and follow all uniform guidelines.
• Trains personnel in all aspects of the operation.
• Analyzes and resolves problems in a timely manner, seeking assistance from supervisors when needed.
• Directs staff in visual merchandising and guest service.  Ensures that all product is properly displayed and secure during events.
• Ensures quality products.
• Ensures that adequate levels of stock/supplies are maintained.  Notifies the Manager immediately of stock shortages.
• Efficiently and accurately completes assigned paperwork.
• Maintains a neat and clean work space at all times.
• Reports all needed repairs to management.
• Reports all safety concerns immediately.  Ensures unsafe areas are secured.
• Analyzes and resolves all problems, seeking assistance if needed from management.
• Ensures that all company policies are followed by employees.  May assist with interviewing personnel.  Many assist the Sportservice Management staff with general and department specific orientations and training sessions.
• Performs other tasks as assigned by management.

 

 

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Basic math skills; ability to accurately handle money, count change and product by item number
• Excellent guest service skills; ability to adhere to Company’s GuestPath Universal Service Standards
• Good communication skills; ability to communicate with guests and co-workers
• Attention to detail
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently and as a team member
• Flexible and detail oriented during busy days
• Dependable and punctual when scheduled to work event shifts
• Willingness to aggressively sell assigned items
• Capable of following job guidelines and supervisors' instructions

Physical Requirements

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand for entire length of shift
• Bending, reaching, climbing on step stool
• Visual acuity sufficient to see and distinguish merchandise and operate point-of-sale system

 

Environmental Working Conditions:

• May be exposed to indoor, climate-controlled environment of retail store
• May also be exposed to partially sheltered outdoor environment subject to climate fluctuations.
