This is an entry level trainee Maintenance Craftspersonposition. Employees in this position areexpected to complete a training program and successful candidates will moveinto the Maintenance "B" level position.

The purpose of this position is to maintainoptimum functionality and reliability for all plant equipment. MaintenanceCraftsperson 'C' is responsible for maintenance and reliability in the mostefficient and workman like manner. Performs jobs such as inspections, preventive maintenance, predictivemaintenance and repairs. Interacts on a regular basis with management, peermaintenance and facility personnel along with contractors/vendors.

Principle Accountabilities

70% Working outside to fulfill maintenance needs

25% Working inside repair shop orprocess areas to meet maintenance needs

5% Working SAP for time confirmationand work flow

Minimum RequiredQualifications

* Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.

* Must have adequate transportation.

* Must have the demonstrated mechanical aptitude to work from all types ofblueprints, maintenance manuals, and drawings and the mathematical knowledgerequired for such work.

* Must have the demonstrated mechanical aptitude to the basic use of andmeasuring of instruments/precision tools (including Non Destructive Testing(NDT)) equipment), fasteners, piping/fittings & valves, cutting andwelding, packing/sealing/gasket products, air/steam traps, rotating shaftcomponents, filtering media and rigging.

* Must be able to interpret equipment conditions using color scales on NDTinstruments.

* Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

* Must be willing and able to work 8 hr shifts including nights, overtime,weekends, holidays, and additional hours beyond regularly scheduled shift tocover vacancies, complete work jobs inprogress and attend training.

* Must be able to travel.

* Must be able to ascend and descend stairs, ladders, etc. to work inelevated areas of the plant.

* Must be able to work in confined spaces.

* Must be willing and able to be oncall.

* Must be able to work in anoutdoor, dusty environment.

* Must have strong written andverbal communication skills.

* Must have good time managementskills.

* Must be able to prioritize tasksand have good follow-up skills.

* Must have strong analyticalproblem solving skills.

* Must be willing to accept accountability.

* Must be a safety mindedindividual.

* Must be computer literateincluding being able to enter and retrieve data.

* Must be able to learn computersoftware programs such as MicroSoft Office and Maintenance software such asMaximo.

* Must be willing and able to acquire knowledge and skills of 'B' levelCraftsperson through successful completion of on-the-job training,computer-based learning and training classes. Timeline to be determined by supervisor.

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience with Reliability Centered Maintenance including: vibrationdetection or analysis, infrared imaging, oil analysis, cause failure analysisand documentation.

* Maintenance experience using precision instrumentation including: torquewrenches, micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, laser alignment tools, sheavealignment tools, etc.

* Experience in cutting, welding, and metal fabrication.

* Prior predictive and preventative maintenance experience.

* Previous experience of manufacturing operations.

* Knowledge of fasteners.

* Experience maintaining and repairing rotating equipment (I.E. shafts,bearings, power transmission equipment).

* Experience in maintaining and repairing fans, conveyors, pumps, drives.

* Experience in pipefitting & tubing/fittings/valves & traps.

* Experience in machine and equipment rigging.

* Experience in data entry and use of CMMS programs.

* Experience repairing and troubleshooting Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems.
