Job Description

The importance of efficient and qualified administrative personnel in the medical field can't be overstated because accurate information is crucial for planning and managing hospital operations. This means that you make it possible for patients to receive the proper care.

As a Patient Administration Specialist, you will make sure that hospital and patient information is recorded, stored, and delivered in order to keep everything running smoothly. Your responsibilities will include scheduling office visits and keeping patient records up to date at Army hospitals or other medical facilities.

Health care is one of the most wide open and promising career fields available today. Use your Patient Administration Specialist experience to prepare for jobs in civilian hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, or rehabilitation centers. You may even qualify for related careers with insurance carriers, public health departments, or Government agencies.

Job training for Patient Administration Specialists consists of 10 weeks of Basic Training, where you'll learn basic Soldiering skills, and seven weeks of Advanced Individual Training. Training consists of both classroom and field work.

Requires military enlistment. Applicants must meet minimum qualifications. Actual MOS assignment may depend on MOS availability. Benefits subject to change.

Most non-prior service candidates will earn between $196.26 and $254.91 per drill weekend.Programs and benefits are subject to change.
