About this job

An electronics manufacturer is seeking a lead manufacturing technician to join their team and provide leadership, stability, and expertise for the manufacturing team on first shift.

The lead technician will be responsible for leading functions on the manufacturing floor, partnering with leadership to create an engaging, productive, and driven environment, as well as providing guidance and oversight to the manufacturing technicians across all shifts.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Provide training for manufacturing technicians, machine operators, and assemblers
  • Foster an environment driven around continuous improvement, open communication, and efficiency
  • Act as the SME for equipment, machinery, and manufacturing processes
  • Develop process flows and SOPs for assigned equipment and the manufacturing team
  • Audit production schedule, ensure PMs are completed in a timely manner, act as the primary interface for documentation, planners, management, and engineers
  • Assist in supervisor and leadership duties as required
  • Be the 'go-to' person on the manufacturing flow and have the ability to creatively and independently problem-solve for all matters
  • Possess the ability to recognize, analyze, and recommend solutions for potential or existing problems as well as possess the knowledge of when to escalate a potential or existing problem to appropriate leadership
  • Facilitate daily team meetings on the manufacturing floor
  • Act as an extension of the supervisor and represent all positive qualities of the team

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2-year degree in Electronics Technology, Manufacturing Technology, Engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of manufacturing technician experience in an electronics manufacturing environment
  • Previous experience in a leadership role in a manufacturing environment
  • Basic knowledge of ERP systems
  • IPC, J Standard, and Lean Manufacturing knowledge and experience
  • Ability to support training processes
  • Microsoft Office
