Maintenance Technician - Full-time / Part-time

We are hiring for a stainless steel manufacturer, with manual lathes, hydraulic presses, rollers, plasma burn table, plasma end trim & shell trim, robots and very heavy welding shop.

Machine Maintenance Mechanic 
$17-$20 per hour DOE

Major Responsibilities-
Identify & repair electrical & mechanical problems on production equipment including preventive maintenance
Maintenance, equipment repairs, troubleshooting & installations to ensure maximum uptime on all equipment

Specific Responsibilities-

Maintain a wide variety of manufacturing equipment
Dismantle, assemble, and maintain intricate specialized equipment requiring skilled fitting & alignment
Operate all machine shop equipment efficiently
Help schedule and perform preventative maintenance activities
Diagnosis & correct machine trouble promptly including PLC performance issues
Install/replace parts using stock replacement parts
Capability of reading machine drawings, relay logic schematic, and all instruments that measure in thousandths of an inch (micrometers, calipers, depth mics, etc.)
Promote a safe & clean work environment
Work directly with managers on projects & new equipment installation

Skill Set

Experience in technical areas including manufacturing operations, welding, basic electrical practices, fluid power, PLC, pneumatics & pipefitting

Specialized Knowledge

Advanced knowledge of machine operation & ability to troubleshoot problems quickly & effectively
Able to communicate with all levels internally & externally
Able to exercise good judgment on highly complex situations
Capable of extended hours when necessary for production schedules
Repair & maintain machinery & mechanical equipment; cranes, pumps, engines, motors, pneumatic tools, and production equipment
Observe mechanical devices & troubleshoot problems
Dismantle equipment & remove, replace, or repair parts
Perform preventative maintenance
Follow blueprints, lubrication charts, and engineering specifications
Install special functional and structural parts using hand & power tools
Maintain facility internal and external
Strong understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics & PLC
