Position Purpose:
Cargill has an opportunity as a Maintenance Supervisor. This position is responsible for overall plant maintenance including scheduling, planning, prioritizing work, purchasing, employee supervision, training and development.
The Maintenance supervisor is also responsible for managing capital projects and supervision of contractors.
Principle Accountabilities:
* 40% Supervise plant mechanical and electrical employees in reliability and proactive maintenance. Ensure effective and efficient maintenance with a culture of continuous improvement.
* 20% Assist in plant repairs and maintenance- troubleshooting/problem solving plant equipment.
* 20% Supervision of contract employees.
* 10% general purchasing of all maintenance related items.
* 5% Conduct employee development including reviews, technical training, EHS training, and PMP process training.
* 5% Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
* 2-3 years of leading teams in labor intensive manufacturing environment (maintenance, engineering, operations, etc.)
* 2 or more years' experience in solving skills in a complex environment
* 2 or more years' experience building a culture of teamwork, collaboration, accountability, and the empowerment of employees
* 2 or more years' experience interacting and influencing a diverse group of people
* 2 or more years of proven ability to engage, develop, and motivate a large workforce
Preferred Qualifications
* 2 years technical degree in related field or equivalent
* Experience Journeyman Maintenance Mechanic & Millwright
* 2 years or more years of experience in Word, Excel, Outlook and a basic understanding of spreadsheets and databases.
