Material Handler – Inspections – Inventory

Position Summary

The Material Handler is responsible for ensuring uninterrupted production by preparing material, bringing packaging to molding machines, and removing finished products. This is an intermediate level position which requires previous Material Handler experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepares material dryers for upcoming work orders
  • Issues packaging, labels, inserts, etc. and brings them to molding machines
  • Removes all finished products from the molding machines
  • Returns raw materials and supplies back to inventory, following completion of job.
  • Assembles boxes for finished products.
  • Provides breaks to Machine Operators by running molding machines throughout shift
  • Cleans and performs basic preventative maintenance on auxiliary equipment
  • Documents preventative maintenance and cleaning and completes repair tickets when necessary
  • Mixes materials with additives as needed
  • Issues raw material to press are and verifies correct material
  • Works with other departments to ensure required supplies needed for job changes, sample runs, and troubleshooting are available and set up.
  • Continuously monitors molding machines to ensure proper inventory levels (inserts, boxes, bags, etc.) for un-interrupted manufacturing of products.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of relevant experience
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Able to identify different material and non-conforming parts
Physical Requirements
  • Lift and lower 50 pounds to waist height without assistance
  • Push and pull barrels
  • Push, pull, bend, twist, kneel, reach, and stoop on an on-going basis
  • Grip and hold parts and hand tools
  • Use miscellaneous hand tools
  • Must be able to handle extremely heavy items with equipment such as forklifts
  • Visual inspection of parts, components, and materials
All candidates must be
  • At least 18 years old and can provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States
  • Willing to submit to a pre-employment background check and/or drug screen
