POSITION DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
Greets and seats guests. Maintains order and cleanliness.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Greet each member, guide them to their table, place menus, and remove extra place settings.
• Organize podium, front entrance, wipe and clean menus. Replace menu inserts when needed.
• Cleaning fingerprints on windows around entrance, clean carpet where needed.
• Pick up Tee sheets from golf shop each morning and reserve table when needed. Advise servers of special groups, reciprocals or special reservations for given day.
• Orchestrate the dining room to run smoothly by communicating with servers as members are seated.
• Anticipate member’s needs and direct servers as needed to meet those members’ needs.
• Perform cleaning duties as required.
• Assist the service staff as needed in taking food and beverage orders from members and process these orders quickly either in writing or through the POS system. Ensure that chits are presented correctly and in a timely manner to members/ guests.
• Complete open and/ or closing side work as needed and instructed.
• Report to management any unsafe or potential hazardous area or situation.
• Responsible for knowing all menus as related to food and beverage operations and ensuring that menu jackets are clean and ready for service.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE:
• Must possess good written and excellent oral communications skills to interact with members, guests and employees.
• Requires a minimum of high school diploma and prior experience in the restaurant/hospitality field.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• Must be able spend long period of time on their feet, walking, standing, stooping and lifting/ carrying/ moving food trays, tables, chairs and furniture up to 50 pounds.
