This Sales Director reports directly to the Vice President of Marketing, Sales & Outreach. This position provides sales leadership and is responsible for the overall attainment of monthly, quarterly & annual goals for the Massachusetts Senior Care Options (SCO) plan, an integrated Medicare/ Medicaid health plan for underserved elderly.  You will lead and manage sales teams, which includes sales managers, sales representatives, business development and outreach staff.  This sales team  is highly multi-cultural and the energy and culture of the unit needs to support a sense of team,  diversity and individual drive & determination.

 
Primary Responsibilities:

Manage market- level accountability for all distribution channels to deliver gross membership expectations
Drive community outreach activities and strategies to identify, develop and maintain  relationships with key community and faith-based organizations
Ensure all sales and marketing activities meet CMS compliance expectations
Develop  and implement  tactical growth plans
Represent Distribution by participating in the development of strategic sales and marketing plans  through  cross-functional collaboration with local Plan leadership, as well as, National Community  Plans leadership
Work with provider community to develop joint marketing campaigns
Drive member retention activities to meet plan growth objectives

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

Undergraduate degree or equivalent years of experience
Active health insurance license for the state of Massachusetts
5+ years sales management experience or senior sales/team lead experience
5+ years demonstrated sales skills with management track record
5+ years market analysis and budget skills
3+ years of experience selling in managed care industry or Medicare industry, ideally in the Medicare Advantage space
Live within a commutable distance to this MA market area
Able to travel up to 100% of time within assigned MA market area 
Preferred Qualifications:

Established community based organizations (CBO's) in this MA market area
Bilingual
