We are currently hiring for an Architectural Drafter/Designer for a leading Architecture firm in the Vancouver area. This company has been around for more than 30 years and has a well-known reputation to in the NW with their work.
In this role you will be expected to draw shop drawings for architect's approval and create drawings and material lists for fabrication and installation. This is a fast paced, high detail, production drafting role using AutoCAD. Also this position can include a lot of project engineering type of tasks. Will be very involved in the scope of projects, construction documentation, variety of work, many projects at a time.
Candidates with experience with shop/fab drawings, solidworks or inventor, and structural background will be ideal. This person will be spending 90% of time in AutoCad and 10% in 3D, necessary to be able to have a 3D / Revit spatial understanding.
Qualifications
- Construction / Fabrication knowledge and experience.
- Experience with layouts, shop fabrication drawings, sheet metal, etc.
- Great communicator; able to collaborate with PMs on project status, coordination, etc.
- AutoCAD experience is required.
- Experience with Solidworks, Inventor, or Revit is a plus.
- Must have knowledge of creating shop drawings.
