Electrical Engineer (EIT or PE) - Full-time / Part-time

Regional (Raleigh based)engineering firm is currently looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer with 3+ years of experience.

Initial responsibilities with be primarily design while working with mentors to gain experience in project management, customer/client interfacing and mentoring Jr. staff.

Responsibilities:

• Visiting project sites to analyze existing conditions, and/or oversee construction.
• Understanding the NEC, IEEE, and other related standards.
• Sizing and routing conduit, cable, cable trays, circuit breakers, and low and medium voltage systems (e.g., power distribution, heat tracing, lighting, fire alarm, and phone / data / other special systems).
• Specifying and selecting electrical equipment.
• Ensuring that all documents and designs meet Quality Program criteria.
• Performing lighting design tasks, including calculations, fixture layouts, specification, and scheduling of light fixtures.
• Designing lighting systems to comply with required local, state, and nationally adopted energy codes.

Minimum Qualifications;

• BSEE/BSAE Degree

• EIT Certification or PE License

• Design via REVIT experience.
• Commercial or Industrial Project Experience
• Project Management Experience (Preferred)

• Internship experience in the MEP consulting engineering field preferred.
