EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High School diploma or GED and one year of related experience; college degree and accounting background skills a plus

 

SKILLS

  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills and must be comfortable interacting with customers, employees, and managers.
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of accounting.
  • Must be self-motivated and is responsible for setting priorities and establishing procedures for completing responsibilities.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, policy and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to create and update routine reports and write correspondence.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divde in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Can perform basic computations and draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Solid ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly require to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands and fingers; sit continuously for extended periods of time; and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, ability to adjust focus, read and interpret documents and instructions; frequent identification of letters, numbers, and symbols in a technology environment. The employee must have the ability to use a keyboard and equipment typically found in an administrative work setting; occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.

Performs administrative, accounting, and office support activities. The Candidate will be required to perform the following duties.

  • Monitor daily sales order activity ensuring payment and shipping accuracy. Executes collection procedures for unpaid invoices.
  • Create Bill of Ladings using various shipping vendors. Submit, track, and investigate shipping claims with shipping vendors; inform sales staff and customers on status of each claim submitted.
  • Create and update internal reports, maintain all Job Aids for the department that are used for training, making sure all are accurate.
  • Prepare and enter bank deposits on a daily basis, responsible for obtaining bank and internal information for company check acceptance.
  • Provide daily back-up on e-mail and phone support and on all administrative duties. Organize and maintains file system. Receive and distribute incoming mail, phone calls, and faxes.
