Spanish Bilingual Telephone Interviewer

On behalf of Social & Scientific Systems, Inc. (S-3), Headway Workforce Solutions is currently seeking a Spanish Bilingual Telephone Interviewer to work in S-3’s Telephone Research Center in Durham, NC.

The Sister Study team at Social & Scientific Systems is currently tracking the health of women in the Sister Study cohort.  Participants are asked to complete health updates each year, as well as detailed questionnaires about health and experiences every two-to-three years. Research in the Sister Study focuses on causes of breast cancer and other health issues in women, as well as on factors that influence quality of life and outcomes after a breast cancer diagnosis.

This is a contract assignment that will last from July-September, with the possibility of exploring other study opportunities once this assignment has ended.

As a Telephone Interviewer, you will...

• Conduct telephone interviews as instructed following all survey protocols.
• Maintain documentation of all telephone study contacts and results of each call.
• Review interviewing materials and CATI screens prior to making the call.
• Organize and turn in completed work in the designated area at the end of each shift.
• Maintain confidentiality of the data collection at all times.
• Maintain good attendance.
• Read verbatim and record data accurately.
• Follow TRC rules and regulations.
• Communicate with Shift Coordinator and implement study changes.
• Record time sheets accurately and in a timely manner.
• Perform additional duties as instructed.

Position Requirements:

• A professional voice and the ability to be on the phone for extended periods of time
• Ability to follow instructions, adhere to all interviewing guidelines, and remain focused despite outside distractions
• Problem recognition and knowing when to ask for assistance and or support
• Ability to probe when necessary during interview process
• Quickly garner rapport with respondent
• Fluent in both Spanish and English language

Available shifts:

• Daytime - 9am to 5:30pm (40 hours) ( Full time shift)
• Evening – 5pm to 10pm & 6pm to 10pm/Saturday 9am to 4pm/ Sunday- 1pm to 6pm (Part-time shift)
• Evening/Weekend shift – Able to work 20 hours minimum each week and must work a minimum of 2 weekend days each month, you can work as many weekend days in the month as you you would like.
