Line Cook - The Village Pub
Cooks may have both pantry and cook respon¬sibilities, including but not limited to the preparation of all items served cold, such as salads, appetizers, and desserts relating to the menu. In addition they are responsible for all basic cooking.
Skills will include being able to proficiently and safely utilize a wide range of kitchen tools.
In addition to food preparation duties, other tasks include ensuring that leftover food is stored properly, performing kitchen maintenance tasks and maintaining quality food in a safe, sanitary kitchen environment.
Finally, as cook it is a critical responsibility to give others encouragement daily and actively work to uphold all Bacchus values, ultimately taking measures to do whatever it takes to ensure our guests satisfaction and to make a concerted effort towards the happiness of every person.
The position of cook is a non-exempt position. This position reports to kitchen management and the Head Chef.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a restaurant of similar caliber, or have graduated from a culinary program, can handle the pressure of a busy restaurant, and can speak and understand English.
