About this job
Mayfield Bakery & Cafe is a full-service restaurant and adjoining bakery that offers weekday breakfast and lunch, dinner nightly, and weekend brunch. We take pride in using locally sourced ingredients in our seasonally inspired menus, and much of our produce is from our farm, SMIP Ranch, located in the hills of Woodside.
We frequently take our employees on trips to visit the farm, as well as to tour our coffee roasting facility, and on a ton of other field trips to brewers, oyster farms, cheese-makers--just to name a few!

Job Requirements
Our ideal candidate:
* Possesses At least 1 Year in a lead line cook position or similar role
* Includes a resume with application
* Is creative and cost-conscious.
* Brings his or her previous supervisory experience in a high-volume kitchen.
* Is a hard worker with strong skills as a line cook (lead by example).
* Can handle constructive criticism and feedback.
* Responds proactively to guest, supervisor, and employee concerns.
* Has working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
* A culinary degree is preferred, but not required.
* Contributing to weekly prix fixe lunch menus, as well as holiday special menus.
* Maintaining quality and consistency of the food coming off the line.
* Ensuring that the kitchen is in compliance with health, labor, safety, and sanitation standards.
* Hiring, training, motivating, and evaluating kitchen staff.
