Overview:

Guest Services I Team Member: Your role will be to greet and welcome our guests and engage them in an exceptional service experience. Guest Service Team Members assist the guest and fulfill their orders and complete the sales transactions in an efficient and professional manner. This position requires a focus on service, flexibility, being organized, and having an upbeat attitude in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Opening the bakery (MOD duties from 9:00-11am)
  • Process any Future, Pick Up or Balance Due Orders for guests
  • Conduct pre-shift meetings with team members
  • Handle guest sales transactions for gift cards and paper gift certificates
  • Assist guests in bakery and on the telephone with cookies, cupcakes, custom cake, specialty cake and stacked cake orders with inscription and decoration (if no cake specialist at location). (Both same day and future orders.)
  • Conduct wedding and large event tastings with guests
  • Handle all aspects of same day and future deliveries
  • Take decorating & baking class reservations for guests
  • Prepare pre-orders (Boxing & Bagging)
  • Process neighbor and promotional discounts
  • Follow-up on all delivery confirmations
  • Set-up and breakdown of the Guest Services area in the morning and evening, including furniture
  • Ensure that the case is fully stocked – notify a member of the Culinary department when an item is out or a low quantity
  • Full knowledge of our product offerings and pricing
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment in accordance with state and federal health department standards
  • Handle sales transactions and make change if necessary
  • Answer the telephone and direct calls and messages immediately
    • Must be able to lift, move & carry up to 50 pounds 
    • Frequent walking, bending, kneeling and reaching
    • Able to stand for extended periods of time
Qualifications:

One year of experience working a retail or food service environment, hospitality or culinary degree preferred. EOE
