Job DescriptionPRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: Reporting to Team Leaders and Handscoring Supervisors, assign scores to student responses for various content matters including, but not limited to, reading and language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies, grades K-12. Assign scores according to standards and rules established by our clients and its customers. When appropriate, provide insights and information on the effectiveness of selected testing prompts and designated performance assessment instruments.Work in a secure environment with confidential documents and information. Maintain high integrity by acting in good faith in all official dealings. Refrain from any act that might result in a conflict, or appearance of a conflict between self-interest or the interest of another and the company-s interest.TRAINING During the first 1 to 3 days of every scoring project, Evaluators are trained by experienced Handscoring Supervisors in the use of anchor papers, rangefinders, scoring guides and rubrics to develop the ability to score student papers consistently, accurately and expeditiously. QUALIFYINGFor each new scoring project, content and grade level, Evaluators must -qualify- by demonstrating the ability to meet our clients scoring standards. During the training process, Evaluators score sample student responses to check their ability to meet our clients scoring standards for the specific set of student responses. Throughout a scoring project, Evaluator scores will be periodically verified using check-sets and read-behinds to ensure they are consistently meeting our clients scoring standards. Evaluators who do not meet the established standards will not qualify to score the particular assessment test or content area and will not be able to continue scoring the remainder of that particular project. Evaluators may be given an opportunity to re-qualify in another content area or grade level, or on a future scoring projects.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - Bachelor-s degree- Ability to work harmoniously in a group environment- Ability to assign scores in a prescribed manner.- Knowledge of standard writing conventions and mechanics, and/or other content specific knowledge such as science, mathematics, social studies, etc.- Availability to work every day, Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM OR 5:30 PM to 9:30 PM for the entire length of a designated project (2-8 weeks, usually). - Saturday work is also required for some projects.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS- Ability to sit at a computer work station and/or tables and chairs for the full work day - Basic computer navigation skills requiredPERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS- Demonstrate understanding of scoring guidelines - Apply scoring guidelines fairly and accurately- Maintain an acceptable scoring rate- Maintain an acceptable checkset average and level of agreement in read-behinds- Be flexible and receptive to new information- Be able to work independently, as well as in a structured group environment - Maintain good attendance throughout each projectHighlightsFOR IMMEDIATE CONSIDERATION, PLEASE CONTACT:Stella KnowlesW: 608-240-9312 6448@kellyservices.com Why Kelly®?At Kelly Services®, we work with the best.
