Shipping & Receiving Coordinator–Roberta, GA Kelly Services, has an immediate opportunity for a Warehouse Shipping and Receiving Coordinator in Roberta GA. This position requires excellent communication skills, a high level of initiative, and the ability to work independently.  This position will work at three different warehouse facilities, all within ½ miles of each other, and execute shipping and receiving duties for the Roberta, GA facility. Role: Warehouse Shipping and Receiving Coordinator Location: Roberta, GA Hours: 8am-5pm Length of assignment: Long term, 12 months or longer Specific Responsibilities: Fully adheres to all Roberta plant HES protocols.  Works with a safety first philosophy. Coordinates 4 - 6 warehouse operators to successfully execute the shipping and receiving function at the Roberta plant. Safely and efficiently operate forklifts, stand-up reach lifts, shrink wrap and banding equipment and other warehouse machinery. Responsible for the safe loading of product onto different types of containers or trailers and product securement. Performs a quality control role which includes: inspecting drums for damage and cleanliness and checking paperwork/ labels for accuracy. Housekeeping is a key job responsibility and requires cleaning drums, totes, and pails prior to shipment.  Also, facility housekeeping is performed daily. Maintains a safe working environment at all times. Safely and according to procedures, sample chemical raw materials or chemical products. Affixes labels to packaging as required. Assembles orders for shipment. Verifies orders for receiving. Ability to use computers for data entry, including goods receiving, goods issuing. Ability to use bar code scanning equipment. Verifies and inspects incoming materials and supplies for proper quantities and packaging defects.  Places labels, numbers, etc. on boxes, bags, cans, pails, drums, and totes of liquid and solid materials.  Records numbers, codes or other information.  Reads production schedules, work orders or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, staged, or distributed. Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, racks, and shelves by hand or with lifting equipment. Perform cycle counting duties and physical inventory counting as required. Chemicals handled may include corrosives, toxics, combustibles, and flammables. Required Skills/Qualifications: Valid personal driver’s license is required. Must be able to work legally in the US. High school diploma or GED The ability to speak, write, and read English Good hearing and good vision. Working knowledge of SAP a plus. Forklift operating skills and certification. The ability to work inside or outside in environmental conditions which at times include extreme heat or extreme cold. The ability to wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) without restriction and pass all medical examinations associated with the use of said PPE. At least 2 years of leadership experience in an industrial or manufacturing warehouse environment The physical requirements for a warehouse technician include the following: o          Lift 50 pounds floor to waist, push and pull 30 pounds horizontally, carry 20 pounds while walking, climb stairs, stand 8-12 hours per day, climb ladders, extend arms through normal range of motion while standing and squatting. o          Must be able to pass a respirator fit test.
