The Accounting Analyst plays a strategic role on Cafe Rio’s accounting team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone seeking growth and broad experience across several accounting disciplines. Responsibilities
* Analyze and research food & labor variances across various systems for senior team reporting
* Work with various cost center leaders to prepare month end accruals (labor bonus, utilities, common area maintenance, and other recurring accruals)
* Run weekly reports and perform validations to ensure accurate financial reporting
* Work closely with AP Team to assist in daily/weekly processing needs
* Assist in statement reconciliations with new & existing vendors to ensure timely processing
* Play a key role in managing strategic accounting projects (electronic invoicing, utilities management, etc.)
* Work closely with Accounting Manager to strategize and recommend process improvements
Qualifications
* 0-2 years of experience serving in an accounting role in a mid-sized, fast paced organization, preferably in the restaurant, retail or hospitality industry
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business; or commensurate combination of education and work experience
* Prior experience implementing new accounting & electronic invoicing systems a plus
* Proficient with Microsoft Office tools, specifically Outlook and Word
* Prior experience leveraging Excel to perform reconciliations and data validations
* Experience with Oracle JD Edwards and/or MenuLink reporting tools is a plus
* Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
* Displays strong analytical and problem solving skills
* Displays strong attention to detail; demonstrates effective planning and organization skills
