Purpose:
Manage special projects as assigned that will further efforts in specific departments and enhance profitability and efficiency.

Description:
Utilize diverse skillset to manages all aspects of complex projects from inception to conclusion. Including assessment, recommendation, scope and process documentation. Knowledge of John Deere Dealership best practices, process improvement and systems implementations is required.

Essential Functions
As the point of contact on assigned projects, performs a variety of highly skilled duties such as: assembling, coordinating and managing multidisciplinary technical review teams.

Requirements

Job Requirements
? Facilitates and troubleshoots the myriad of problems associated with developing complex systems or with
coordinating and development, and design projects.
? Provides highly skilled technical and management advice and assistance to department management and personnel.
? Responds to inquiries about projects.
? Establishes and maintains liaison as required with cross-functional work groups, committees and department heads.
? Assists in developing departmental plans, goals, objectives, policies and procedures for special projects.
? Coordinates schedules of staff and other interested parties.
? Assist in planning and execution of company events
? Act as a project manager for the special projects leading and improving or adopting new processes in various departments.
? Preparing process manuals and video media to support training efforts of department improvements.
? Prepare operation and financial reports, provide analysis on the reports, and assist management in developing
plans to improve company performance.

Competencies
? Intermediate Project Management
? Technical Capacity to include advanced IT, JD IS, Excel, and video media
? Intermediate to advanced Communication Proficiency
? Proven ability in Problem Solving/Analysis

Supervisory Responsibility
No direct supervisory duties, though management of projects includes directing project related activities of the project team members.


Experience, Education, Skills, and Knowledge:
o Associates Degree or equivalent experience required
o 2+ years experience in project management or communications preferred
o Familiarity with John Deere and competitive products preferred
o Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions and project management software
o Strong communication skills
o Ability to multi-task
o Ability to plan large events


Additional Information
Working Conditions:
This position occasionally requires long hours and occasional weekend work. This job generally operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.

Physical Effort:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Ability to lift up-to 25 pounds

Travel Requirement:
Regular driving between dealerships.
Up to 10% travel for meetings and conferences.
