Senior Manager of Promotion Analytics Job Description: We are looking for a highly motivated Coordinator of Promotion Analytics to join our Category Analytics Team. This position requires experience drawing conclusions from imperfect and incomplete data, application of various analytical techniques, and developing overarching promotional strategies. Above all, you will help shape the strategic direction of category management by ensuring best analytical practices and techniques are used to provide recommendations that improve promotional performance at Whole Foods. This role will drive sales through effective evaluation of promotion performance and drive operational efficiencies through improved execution of promotions throughout the store. Responsibilities * Develops analytical tools to better utilize promotion levers that drive top & bottom line, traffic, conversion, and loyalty. * Leads the development of standardized promotion analytics through ad hoc tools and methodologies. * Leads the integration of promotions analytics into the overarching category management processes throughout the purchasing organization. * Designs and explains various promotional activity evaluation methodologies. * Work with cross functional project teams including Purchasing, Marketing, Regional Operations, Inventory Planning, Replenishment and Data Science, serving as the subject matter expert on Promotional analysis and processes, participate in the discussion of business requirements and act as a leader of change management and assist the Purchasing teams' training and development. * Integrate robust data analysis and variables to develop and maintain promotional strategies that reflects the category's strategic vision, most optimal margin rates, sell through goals, and customer price perception goals. * Recommends promotional changes with category managers for revisions that directly contribute to improved category performance including but not limited to: Sales, Margin and Turns. * Develops and works with analytical tools/teams to deliver upon ad hoc promotional productivity analysis. * Works collaboratively to ensure analyses are in alignment with strategic objectives and are executed in stores. * Analyze event and category performance and drive the analytical development of the team Qualifications * Ability to translate complex analyses into actionable business insights * Bachelor's Degree and at least 3-5 years of experience in retail pricing, promotion analysis, merchandising, inventory management, or related role * Master's Degree is preferred * Experience with promotion optimization tools and methodologies * Proficient skill level in Microsoft Excel , Word, PowerPoint * Understanding of retail merchandising basics (i.e. category management), and purchasing organizational structures and processes * Ability to manage and prioritize multiple assignments and meet tight deadlines * Ability to develop effective working relationships with all levels of purchasing team and leadership * Experience with analyzing and reporting data in order to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find solutions. * Team oriented with excellent time management and organization skills * Customer service oriented with ability to maintain positive attitude in all situations * Comfortable with change management * Previous experience in building out new teams and business process * Intellectually curious At Whole Foods Market we provide a fair and equal employment opportunity for all team members and candidates regardless of race, color, religion, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, or disability.
