Summary
The Marketing and Promotions Manager oversees Cinemark's promotional and marketing activities on a national and regional level, and offers support to theatres on a local level. National activities include designing web site, in-theatre, and advertising promotions, to enhance Cinemark's presence on a larger scale. Local activities may range from creating media and pass promotions to managing and implementing various local events and movie premieres. The Marketing and Promotions Team also handles all advertising, marketing and promotions for new theatre and XD Grand Openings.
Responsibilities
- Designing marketing strategies and implementing regional advertising and promotional plans
- Communicating with Theatre Managers and fulfilling theatre's needs for in-theatre display materials
- Managing Grand Opening initiatives for new theatres, including Media Planning and Buying, Viral and traditional Marketing and Event planning
- Additional Grand Opening responsibilities would include establishing strong community relations, developing long-lasting business ties and creating long term awareness for the new theatre
- Conducting contract negotiations and maintaining on-going attention for newspaper and web advertising
- Developing and sustaining strong working relationships with the Exhibitor Relations Department of the movie studios
- Managing competitive analysis for each theatre's market and create solutions for challenges when they appear
- Working closely with other departments for problem solving
- 2-3 years' experience working in an entertainment marketing or consumer marketing position
- 2-3 years media buying experience, including rate negotiation, art concept and ad placement
- Bachelor's degree, Marketing degree preferred
- MUST be detail oriented with excellent follow through skills
- Familiarity or experience with the business side of Social Networking and Social Media
- Ability to multi-task job responsibilities on all levels of importance
- Can meet deadlines easily
- Able to adjust to ever changing landscape
- Would be considered by others to be a team player
- Must possess strong verbal and writing skills
