About this job

• Manage the restaurant in the absence of the General Manager (GM)
• Comply with and ensure Company policies and procedures are upheld by the team at all times
• Complete all daily management and shift operations procedures
• Assist in conducting team and daily pre-shift meetings
• Responsible for food quality, food safety, service and cleanliness throughout shift
• Work the Expo position during shifts to ensure fast, friendly, high energy service, while performing quality control checks and driving thru-put
• Work shoulder-to shoulder with employees; provide training, coaching and frequent feedback; and on occasion work non-management roles when staffing constraints require
• Identify and delegate responsibilities to the team to drive goals and service excellence
• Consistently monitor operations and make adjustments as needed to achieve/exceed goals and expectations
• Proactively solicit customer feedback and address concerns in a professional, timely manner
• Support GM with identifying people needs, including but not limited to; selection, assisting with interviews, facilitating orientation and leading/overseeing new hire training
• Demonstrates respect for individual employees and shows appreciation for their efforts and contributions
• Lead and manage one or more areas of the business, including but not limited to; back of house operations, front of house operations, and service operations
• Consistently evaluate operations effectiveness to identify any issues and opportunities for improvement
• Other duties as assigned by the General Manager or Area Coach

Requirements

Job Requirements
* At least 18 years of age and earned a High School diploma or GED
* 2 or more years of management experience, preferably in the restaurant industry managing a team of 15 or more employees at a time, interacting frequently with customers, and coaching employees to assume increasingly challenging roles
* Available to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends and/or holidays, as well as work weeks that may at times exceed 40 hours
* Passionate about food, service and people
* Attention to detail and focused on getting the job done the right way always
* Ability to understand and follow specific recipes, processes and systems with precision and consistency
* Possesses strong organizational skills and can effectively prioritize needs (solid multitasker)
* Thrives in a fast paced, high pressure environment
* Understands their success is ultimately dependent on that of their teams
* Able take direction as well as delegate tasks accordingly
* Demonstrates strong interpersonal communication skills; able to easily interact with diverse employees, bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
* Comfortable with computers, email and mobile technology as well as point of sale systems and reporting
* Able to lift and carry at least 60 lbs. and stand for 8 plus hrs.
* Proof of valid driver's license
