The Regional Director of Resident Care is responsible for providing overall leadership for the health and well being of residents within a group of our Independent Full Service (Skilled Nursing / Assisted Living / and Independent Living) Sunrise Senior Living communities located throughout the East Coast.
RESPONSIBILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS

Responsibilities:
- Specialized clinical resources to community Health Care Coordinators (nurses) and assists Area Managers in the delivery of resident care
- Quality monitoring of services, training, regulatory compliance and implementation of resident care policies, forms and systems
- Coaching and mentoring the Health Care Coordinators and provides strategies for nurse retention
- Develops and maintains relationships with resident care vendors and professional organizations as part of the nurse recruitment strategy and networking
- Must be able to travel to our Independent Full Service communities located throughout the East Coast.

Qualifications:
- A minimum of five (5) years experience as a Professional Nurse and maintains a current state license as a Registered Nurse (RN) per state regulations
- At least two (2) years nursing management experience in assisted living, home health, skilled nursing or long term care environments
- Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Competent of current and evolving state and federal laws effective provision of care to residents
- Ability to effectively partner with team leadership and dynamics
- Demonstrates good judgment, problem solving and decision making skills
- Demonstrates effective training skills, effective written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in computer skills, Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, Excel) with the ability to learn new applications
- Able to travel within a geographic area or on assignments with Sunrise
- Demonstration of competence in assessment skills and know how to recognize and implement the standards that protect brand integrity through all services
- Competent in organizational, time management skills
- Champions the quality of life for all seniors and champions the belief in the sacred value of human life
