Headway Workforce Solutions is currently seeking a Yard / Warehouse Worker for a contract opportunity in North Hollywood, CA with our partner, Contractor supply chain stocking company that specializes in cabinetry & flooring, doors & windows, lumber, drywall & hardware products.
As a Yard / Warehouse Worker, you will...
- Safely and efficiently load, unload and build outgoing loads of lumber and building materials into storage facilities onto semi-trailer trucks and flatbeds securing all outgoing loads in appropriate and safe stacking method
- Regularly empties trash receptacles and maintains a clean warehouse and yard
- Safely operates banding equipment, saws and other necessary facility equipment
- Secures load and/or assists driver in securing loads before delivery.
- Evaluates job site for hazards before making delivery.
- Performs all job duties adhering to company policies and procedures
- Communicates with customer to ensure good customer service
- Ensures staging areas, loading docks and bays are clear of any materials, lumber or obstacles
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience in warehouse/material handling experience preferred.
- Ability to lift 100 lbs repetitively
- Good oral communication skills.
- Spend long amounts of time stooping , reaching , bending, climbing , standing or walking
