About this job

We are looking for a Payroll Coordinator to fill a temporary role that will last approximately into the new year. This person will work full time hours and MUST have some experience processing payroll. There is close to 1000 hourly union employees at this site paid weekly and also bi-weekly salary employees. Experience processing payroll in a union environment is a plus but not required. The client uses Stromberg as their processing system as well as Oracle and Access.
Essential duties and responsibilities:

* Process payrolls for our weekly, union employees

* Accountable for entering employee data maintenance into Oracle HCM

* Handles manual check requests and ensures accuracy of paperwork submitted

* In charge of distribution of weekly payroll checks/statements

* Responsible for IWO child support setups and handling

* Assists with certified payroll report issues, processes revisions and runs back reports, as requested by Operations

* Serves as liaison between the Payroll Department and the rest of the organization.

* Supports Payroll Supervisor and Payroll Manager with research and projects, as needed

* Assists with daily mail distribution

* Provides support with other payroll functions, as needed

Requirements

* 1 to 2 Years of general payroll experience preferred
* Self-directed/self-motivated
* Ability to Problem Solve/Critical-Thinker
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to explain complex subjects in simple terms
* High school diploma required
* 2 or 4 Year Degree is a plus
* Proactive to problem solving
