JOB SUMMARY
Develops and manages security for more than one IT functional area (e.g., data, systems, network and/or Web) across the enterprise. Responsible for the development and implementation of security policies and procedures (e.g., user log-on and authentication rules, security breach escalation procedures, security auditing procedures, use of firewalls and encryption routines, and eDiscovery support).
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Actively and consistently supports all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience
Prepares status reports on security matters to develop security risk analysis scenarios and response procedures
Responsible for the tracking and monitoring of software viruses and solutions; consults necessary workgroups
Enforces security policies and procedures by administering and monitoring security profiles; reviews security violation reports and investigates possible security exceptions; updates, maintains and documents security controls
Effectively tests and exploits security vulnerabilities
Evaluates products and/or procedures to enhance productivity and effectiveness
Provides direct support to customers, business and IT staff for security related issues
Educates customers, business and IT staff about security policies and consults on security issues regarding user built/managed systems
Represents the security needs of the organization by providing expertise and assistance in all law, compliance and regulatory projects with regard to security issues
Oversees eDiscovery operations on behalf of Legal
Collects and compiles historical data on system access and generates reports and provides qualitative analysis
Works cross-functionally to ensure solutions meet the needs of the enterprise
Supports the development and implementation of new technology implemented at Charter to improve security
Familiar with all security regulations affecting Charter, including PCI, HIPAA, Sox, and state security requirements
Familiar with forensic technology and able to conduct or assist in the conduction of forensic evaluations when necessary
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
Familiar with current IT cybersecurity issues
IT or Security Alert Response and definition of response metrics
Policy compliance tracking, monitoring, implementation and education
Knowledgeable about current IT cybersecurity issues
Log analysis and definition of relevant log review and retention practices
Evidence collection, tracking, case management and application integration for eDiscovery positions
Subject matter expert in current IT cybersecurity issues
Education
BA/BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent work experience
Related Work Experience
7 to 9 years of combined IT and security work experience with a broad range of exposure to systems analysis, applications development, and database design and administration across a large (Fortune 500-level) enterprise
3 to 4 years of experience with information security
IT administration experience
IT project management experience
eDiscovery and management experience required for some positions
