How do I make a difference?


Providing Incredible, Knowledge Based Customer Service

  • Proactively approach customers and spend the majority of time on the sales floor to help them locate items, share product knowledge, discuss health and wellness, and offer suggestions and solutions
  • Familiarize self with all products on the shelves and inventory in the backroom to better assist customers and educate them on product attributes
  • Support Eat Well. Live Well and share knowledge by sampling products, creating product fact sheets, educating customers, and answering questions

Ensuring High Quality Products & Ingredients

  • Breakdown deliveries, re-shop misplaced products, shrink out damaged goods and refill missing items to ensure product levels are maintained and aisles are kept in pristine shopping condition
  • Order products from multiply vendors using ordering machines, vendor fax sheet, and telephone
  • Set up displays and merchandise products in innovative and eye-appealing ways to drive sales
  • Keep up to date on the latest trends related to the green, organic, and wellness movements
  • Properly handle products, use equipment, keep accurate logs and follow sanitation practices in accordance with food and human safety guidelines and Simplification 5S procedures

Work Environment

  • Work involves continuous interactions with customers in a fast-paced environment
  • Typical motions include repetitive hand and arm movements, bending, reaching, and frequent heavy lifting
  • Responsible for moving and lifting an average of 8 – 32 pounds with a maximum weight lifted of 50 pounds rarely to occasionally
  • May be exposed to various allergens
  • Work involves exposure to and work in cold and below freezing temperatures
  • Must be able to use hand/power equipment
  • Will spend the majority of time on his or her feet and stand without a break for up to 4 hours
