Responsible to work with Supervisor / Assistant Supervisor to produce the daily production schedule . Must have good general knowledge of Kitchen, Filler and Capper. Must be able to identify ingredients by code, appearance, taste or smell. Must be well rounded and be able to train line people how to operate and at what speed of each production position. Responsible for all product being produced to specification and at the correct speed. Responsible to communicate to Supervisor staffing requirements (head count) based on item being produced. Must be able to assist at various machine centers as needed to make sure we meet the production schedule. Must hold high quality standards for finished product and ingredient quality as well as high regard for Safety and Good Manufacturing Practices.

No employee authority - Responsible to communicate employee issues to Supervisor.

DAILY

You are responsible for all production at the following areas:

ü
Glass Depal: You are responsible to make sure that the correct number of people are scheduled for the product we are running. Decrease people after 4 hours if they are not needed.

ü
Rinser: You are responsible to make sure the rinser is adjusted BEFORE we start the filler. Make sure that the belts are at the correct speed so that the filler never runs out of glass.

ü
Filler(s): You are responsible to make sure that product is approved 5 minutes prior to line start time. You are responsible for making sure the filler is set at the correct speed and for communicating to the Supervisor any reason the filler stops for more than 10 minutes. You are responsible to make sure the incoming product temperature is as the correct temperature and that the charts are in place.

Waukesha Pump: You are responsible to make sure the pump is operating at correct speed to maintain product quality.

Capper(s): You are responsible to make sure cappers will be in line prior to specified time and to make sure the Entercon is adjusted correctly and personnel is in place to ensure seals are applied without defect.

X-Ray Machine: Answer faults and fix any problems.

ü
Hot End of Pasteurizer: You are responsible to make sure inverter (if needed) in in place prior to start time and to make sure pasteurizer (if needed) is on and ready for production.

Ingredients: You are responsible to make sure all ingredients are verified for freshness and accuracy. You are responsible for Dicer operations, Rietz Mill, Can openers and any spice blends. You are also responsible to make sure washing, blanching, slicing or dicing is done with in line with PCB's Good Manufacturing Practices and at a rate that does not slow the line down.

Kettles: You are responsible to make sure Piping, Pumps and Magnets are all installed and used properly. You are responsible to make sure batches are produced at expected intervals. You are responsible to make sure product is made before the filler runs out of product or to communicate to the Supervisor why it can not be ready. You are responsible to make sure that product is made at the approved temperature and any adjustments are made correctly. You are responsible to make sure that the magnets are installed correctly and that they are provided to lab at every two hours or upon request.

Slurry: You are responsible to make sure all piping and pumps are installed and used correctly. Slurry is prepared and approved prior to need so that it does not impede kettle production rate.

Lab Approval: You are responsible to make sure that the product is produced to specification and that Lab approved adjustments are documented correctly every time.

Documentation: You are responsible to make sure all temperature charts are in place, working and that the product is in spec as reported on the charts. You are responsible to check the kettle load cell and record information every morning. You are responsible to make sure all the specification adjustments are communicated to the team and documented accurately every time.

ü
Forklift driver: You are responsible to make sure that the assigned driver is in place so that production is not stopped. You will do this by working directly with driver to make sure to have a steady feed of ingredients and materials as needed.

ü
You are responsible to make sure all ingredients remaining following production are returned to storage correctly and are labeled correctly.

ü
You are responsible to make sure allergen ingredients, supplies and tools are handled correctly and with regard to best sanitary practices.

You are responsible for proactively communicating with the Supervisor any reason unable to meet the schedule.

You are responsible to make sure everyone has the information needed to complete the days production run. Including: Spec sheet, hourly expectations, break schedule, temporary workarounds

You are responsible to make sure for mentoring and training all kitchen personnel.

You are responsible to make sure all staff in your area receive breaks and lunch within legal guidelines and without stopping the line.

You are responsible for preparing for any anticipated changeovers.

You are responsible to complete the required paperwork on time are correct.

Must be able to effectively communicate with coworkers.

Not generally assigned to run specific machinery - but may be if needed

May be assigned to participate in line changes
