Retail Inventory Associates work remotely at our customers' stores and warehouses to physically count their inventory. The inventory can begin at different times throughout the day including early morning, evening and weekends.

Requirements

Education:

Normally requires High School diploma or equivalent. Must have an understanding of how to calculate and solve basic mathematical problems. Must be able to accurately comprehend verbal and written instructions.

Experience:

Six months retail experience or previous inventory experience preferred.

Skills:

  • Ability to quickly and accurately count merchandise by imputing data and information into a data terminal through keying or scanning.
  • Ability to meet all standard productivity goals as established by account.
  • Ability to follow all established standards of performance, as per WIS policies and procedures.
  • Ability to clearly and accurately print alpha numeric count and merchandise information on various forms as required.
  • Ability to ensure safety of all employees at all times whether in the office, travelling or while performing actual inventories.

EFFORT FACTORS:

Physical Demands:

  • Requires frequent walking or standing for prolonged periods of time during an inventory
  • Regularly requires a great deal of visual concentration to drive, read tags, use equipment such as WISard and computer terminals
  • Frequently requires bending, squatting or climbing a stool/ladder to check work done
  • Frequently requires lifting equipment >22lbs

Mental Demands:

  • Must be mentally adaptable and flexible to deal with a variety of people and changing priorities
  • Must be able to handle the pressure of working to schedules, unusual hours of work, longer than normal days and deadlines
  • Must be able to analyze causes of interpersonal conflict (both with employees and customers) and resolve these sometimes complex issues despite ambiguities
  • Must be able to process and analyze data in a computerized environment
  • Must be able to communicate in a professional manner
