Looking for 5 CNC Machinist for full time employment within a reputable Automotive company in Muncie, IN
This person will be responsible for setting up CNC Mills and Lathe machines. Most of these machines are 2-axis machines; some are manual machines. They will also be responsible for production of automotive parts. Parts will include Coil Housing, Shift Forks, Sprockets, Ball Cams, Pistons, and Shift Cams for engines and transmissions.
The machinist will change tooling offsets and check for speed and feed changes. They will also check tolerances of machine vs parts produced. Person will need to add and subtract to the thousandth decimal point. Major part of the role will be taking a drawing and making the part, determining what fixtures they need to use, and read the program. They will also be responsible for helping production workers with cycle times.
Must Haves: 1-3 years of the following
1. CNC set-up of mills, lathes, grinders
2. CNC operation of mills, lathes, grinders
3. Read misocallibers
4. G-Code understanding
Nice to Haves
1. Technical Education
2. ISO understanding
3. Fanuc controls
PAY: $15.00 - $18.00
SHIFT: 1st and 2nd shift available.
