Job Purpose: Two to three sentences describing the overall purpose of the job
Lead the stewarding team to ensure cleanliness and sanitation of food service and preparation ware. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation inthe dish rooms and kitchen areas.
Job Responsibilities: Maximum of ten responsibilities, in order of percentage of time spent on functions from longest to shortest; do not list anything that doesnot represent at least 10% of the job's time. Please include supervisory responsibilities.
1.
Coordinate the overall operation of the stewarding team in assigned areas including time and attendance responsibilities.
2.
Assist with training and ensure that new stewarding team members are fully oriented to proper procedures and policies.
3.
Monitor the transport and retrieval of all china, glass and service ware to banquet rooms.
4.
Inspect banquet service areas for accurate service ware sets and cleanliness.
5.
Monitor the proper handling of all chemicals.
6.
Ensure that safety procedures are adhered to in the assigned area.
7.
Ensure that all equipment and food service ware is cleaned and properly maintained.
8.
Maintain familiarity with banquet/event menus and any available guest options.
9.
Perform inventory and stocking duties as required.
10.
Perform service ware cleaning and sorting duties as needed.
11.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications: Describe the minimum qualifications needed to complete the job responsibilities.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience
Minimum one-year stewarding experience required preferably in a high volume operation. Good communication skills required. Ability to speakand read English required.
