SUMMARY:
Carry out inspection and testing in the QC Department and company-wide where QC is a requirement. Participate in a corporate philosophy of continual improvements relative to quality control.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Possess the ability to properly use analog and digital measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, optical comparator, etc.)
- Have a strong ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and applicable specifications
- Have the ability to utilize a computer to maintain data logs and ledgers, research information and find files
- Possess the ability to communicate verbally, written and utilizing a computer
- Pay attention to detail
- Organization skills
MAIN FUNCTIONS INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Interpret first article, incoming, in process, final inspections and related testing in accordance with applicable drawing requirements
- Monitor/verify quality of manufacturing/assembly through first piece in process inspection
- Monitor/verify shipping operations
- Gather necessary information from the various sources to evaluate details, sub-assemblies and assembles for acceptance to drawing requirements
- Review and evaluate certifications for accuracy, completeness and ensure compliance to applicable requirements
- Utilize SOP, work instructions, and forms to complete tasks
- Maintain logs and data in a neat and retrievable manner
- Maintain a neat and orderly work environment
- Create Non-Conforming Material Reports to document product discrepancies and initiate resolution
- Create Corrective Action Requests to document systemic problems/concerns and to initiate corrective action
