House Sitter Wanted - Lovely house, 2 lovely dogs in Santa Fe need responsible long-term sitter soon - approx end Aug-end Nov 2017. - Full-time / Part-time

We are out of town 3-4 times a year for about 3 months. We need a mature individual or couple to live with our 2 dogs, 12 year old Tupac, a Springer Spaniel, & 8 year old Sabine, a mixed breed American Terrier rescue. Tupac & Sabine basically need a replacement(s) for us: a sitter who is affectionate and has time for daily walks, plenty of attention, focused care. Our house is comfortable, 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, has the usual amenities, enclosed front & back courtyards, and is located near downtown Santa Fe, Museum Hill & St. Vincent's Hospital. Tupac & Sabine have the run of the house & furniture. They will love to sit with you on the couch while you read or watch TV, go for a ride to the market when it's not too hot, have their tummies rubbed any time. Besides dog care, plants in the courtyards need water in warm months, a few indoor plants need water also. Street-side trees have a watering system the sitter must turn on and off weekly. Many wild birds & hummingbirds visit feeders & water dishes in the courtyards, to be refilled as needed. The security system must be used when no one is home, and mail & newspapers brought inside. Our cleaning person will do major cleaning weekly, but the sitter should be personally clean & tidy & keep the household presentable. The sitter should also be mindful of antiques & items of personal value.
