Assembler - Full-time / Part-time

Our client has an immediate need for full-time Assemblers to work in their Harford County production facility. Candidates must have a mechanical aptitude.

Job Requirements:

• File edges and ream holes to properly align parts.
• Affix subassemblies to main assemblies, i.e. chassis, gears, housings, transmissions, etc.
• Set clearances between parts to prescribed tolerances.
• Position control mechanisms and connection levers and rods with correct bolts, rivets or other fasteners as directed.
• Lubricate assemblies as needed.
• Mount assemblies in test fixtures and observe performance.
• Work from blueprint or engineering specifications.
• Perform subassemblies of a variety of components as needed for assembly line.
• Prepare parts for paint or shipping.

Skills & Abilities

• Mechanical aptitude is a must.
• Must be able to keep pace with a progressive assembly line which may require assembly knowledge of one or more stations. 
• Must effectively use a variety of hand tools and power tools, i.e. wrenches, pliers, screw drivers, hammers, air impact, grinders, files and reamers, etc.
