MIG Welder - Full-time / Part-time

$17/hr.
Mon-Fri: 8am - 5pm
MUST be able to work OT of needed.

Company is North America's leading supplier and fabricator of perforated and expanded metal, wire mesh, architectural metals and a variety of grating products (stair treads, bar grating walk ways, handrails, and steel grated flooring.)

This candidate will work in the welding and fabrication department, and will be performing functions including MIG welding, cutting, and operating shop equipment to fulfill customer order requirements.

* Fit up and MIG weld products such as stair treads, bar grating walk ways, handrails, and steel grated flooring.
* Ability to operate a forklift and /or cranes is a PLUS
* Operate shop equipment such as band saws and drill presses
* Able to follow work orders and shop drawings and verify material and work for accuracy
* Prepare and process all paperwork needed to complete orders

Qualifications:

* 1 year of MIG Welding experience
* Exp MIG Welding on plain steel and stainless steel (Vertical and Horizontal welds, 1/4" thick)
* Must be capable of machine setup including proper wire speed, voltage, and gas flow
* Exp w/ shop tools and equipment such as torches, band saws, and drill presses
* Capable of following written instructions and shop drawings
* Able to work in a physically demanding environment including working on your feet for extended periods of time, lifting material weighing up to 50 pounds and working in hot or cold conditions
* Basic computer skills
* High School diploma or equivalent
* Able to work overtime as required
