Equipment Operator

Maintenance Technician

General Laborer - No Experience Required!

The Equipment Operator will operate a variety of equipment: trucks and tractors for the purpose of street and utility repair, maintenance, snow removal and construction of facilities. Provide routine maintenance to base areas. Operate all equipment including but not limited to Skid Steers, Fork Lifts, Loaders and backhoes. Monitor all equipment and make sure that all issues are addressed promptly and communicated with Vehicle Maintenance. Physical Labor will be required due to the broad scope of the jobs that will be done for the resort. Responsible for all aspects of nightly snow removal operation. Other duties as assigned.

Our maintenance techs perform routine, emergency, and preventative maintenance on a variety of utilities (gas, water, sewer, electrical), commercial kitchens, and building electro-mechanical systems and equipment. We are looking for candidates that have and use good common sense and decision making in the face of adverse electro-mechanical failures. We have openings on Vail Mountain and at Beaver Creek Resort for techs with experience. AND we also have openings for technically inclined entry-level candidates in our hotels!

Our Base and Village Operations departments are looking for motivated individuals to join our team. These teams help to maintain the plazas and facilities at the base of our mountains, Vail Mountain and Beaver Creek Resort.  This job impacts the first impression on our guests as they arrive to our mountains.  Our Attendants shovel snow on paths, maintain the snow yard (at the base of the gondolas), maintain trash and recycling, and help with event support.  Our crews are also involved in maintenance projects, and supports parking operations. Excellent entry-level opportunity for anyone who likes to be outside all day, work with their hands, and have a variety of tasks!

Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year heavy equipment experience - required
  • High school diploma or equivalent - required
  • Able to read, write, speak, understand and comprehend English fluently - required
  • Valid Colorado driver's license and clean driving record - required
  • Able to lift and carry 100lbs - required
  • Class A or B CDL License is required for this position

Qualifications:

·        High School graduate or equivalent - required

·        Three years’ experience in the HVA/C & R or Plumbing trade. – HIGHLY PREFERRED FOR INTERMEDITATE POSITIONS ON THE MOUNTAIN

·        Read, write, speak English - required

·        Valid state issued driver's license - required

·        Intermediate skier or snowboarder – preferred

·        Must be able to lift 50 pounds. -required

·        Must be able to stand or walk for up to 8 hours. –required

·        Must have flexible schedule to include working nights and weekends. -required

Qualifications:

 

·        High School Diploma or GED- required

·        Valid Driver’s License- required

·        Read, Write, and Speak English Fluently- required

·        Ability to Lift 75lbs – required

·        Ability to Perform Physical Labor – required

·        Ability to Use Hand Tools – required

·        Experience in Maintenance or Labor Job - preferred

·        Ability to Work Outside in Extreme Mountain Conditions - required

·        Ability to Operate a Manual Transmission- preferred
