The Senior Manager Product, leads a team that defines, drives and monitors the “What” and “how” the Home Depot captures and reports out online analytics and conversion.


The Senior Manager Product will work closely with the Director of Analytics and manage the product analytics team. This role is highly visible and works closely with Marketing, IT, Product Management, and third-party vendors. The candidate must demonstrate strong leadership and influence with the ability to communicate a clear product vision.

The Senior Manager Product is responsible for identifying the strategic information needs for Homedepot.com and leading the development of descriptive analytics measures and tools to provide insight to the business. The Senior Manager designs and develops robust data solutions that encompass financial results, web site analytics, call center analytics, and merchandising planning to develop an accurate picture of online performance. In addition, the Senior Manager will bring new insights on BI tools and the components of a robust ecommerce analytics structure. The successful candidate will also recruit, hire and manage a team of internal business intelligence managers and analysts.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities:
  • 20% Manage home grown (Epiphany based) data warehouse infrastructure, processes and people. Lead development roadmap and execution of reporting and business intelligence tools which enable senior leaders and business stakeholders to make effective business decisions.
  • 40% Partner with the Analytics and IT teams to drive the Data Product roadmap and long term data strategy and vision while driving requirements from concept through launch.
  • 20% Define product and program strategy while guiding business and IT partners on recommendations and prioritization.
  • 10% Pro-actively monitor industry trends in analytics, data governable, data visualization, etc. including new capabilities, technology, vendors and tools
  • 10% Develop creative solutions to information needs that require clear articulation of business issues to be investigated. Responsible for building the plans, priorities, infrastructure and competencies that the organization needs to take forward-looking strategic decisions by using BI and analytical software capabilities

  • Number of Direct Reports is 4-8.

Environment:
  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Travel:
  • Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must be eighteen years of age or older.
  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Education Required:
  • The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
Years of Relevant Work Experience: 8 years

Physical Requirements:
  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Additional Qualifications:
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent degree in statistics, computers sciences, information management or another quantitative field.
  • A strong background (8 years) in analytics, business intelligence, business strategy or finance is required, preferably within a consumer goods, retail or internet company
  • Nimbleness and comfort with ambiguity; comfort responding quickly to rapidly evolving threats and opportunities
Preferred Qualifications:
  • MBA or MS-CIS preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years management experience
  • Previous experience with Epiphany and Adobe analytics (Site Catalyst, Discover, Insight) tools is a plus
