Seasonal Warehouse Associate - Hiring Now!

Macy's is currently seeking talented individuals to fill Seasonal Direct to Consumer Warehouse Associate positions in our fun, fast-paced climate controlled distribution centers.  

 

Some of the essential functions of seasonal warehouse associate positions include: 

 

Pick/Restock/Beauty/Small Cube

 

Material Handling Equipment (MHE)

Pack (Patrol)/Prep/Beauty/Home Pack/Home Prep/Home Outbound

Stock and receive merchandise from/into designated locations

 

Re-verify piece count to a document and then stage picked merchandise

 

Scan items utilizing scan guns technology

 

An active position, continually walking and climbing ladders, equivalent to 6 miles per day

 

Stock/retrieve merchandise from/into designated locations or actively count merchandise in a location using power industrial trucks, generally stock pickers

 

Adhere to MHE safety standards and work at heights of up to 80 feet while harnessed

 

Cross-trained to work in non-MHE areas, actively walking up to 6 miles a day and scanning items using scan guns/technology

Pack customer merchandise or unpack merchandise/returns to be placed back into stock or returned to the vendor

 

Validate piece counts and utilize RFID scanners to check merchandise for damages or to see if misidentified

 

Standing in one location, bending, twisting, and lifting boxes or merchandise and walking line to patrol or check merchandise during the shift

 

Wave

 

 

Receiving/Shipping/Home Pallet

 

 

Advanced Receiving Office (ARO)

 

Scan items individually to be sent for packing

 

Work is completed on an induction platform, accessed via stairs

 

Troubleshoot issues using a computer database

 

Load and unload merchandise from/to trucks

 

Verify the condition and quality of the shipments and may also palletize items

 

Scheduling of trucks and merchandise arriving and departing location dock using computers

 

May also load and unload merchandise from/to trucks; verify the condition and quality of the shipments

 

Returns

 

Use computers to process merchandise/returns to be put into stock or returned to the vendor

 

Qualifications Include:

• Education/Experience:  None
• Communication Skills:  Strong listening and communication skills.  Ability to read, write and understand verbal instructions
• Physical Demands:   Ability to move merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs. on a consistent basis.  This position involves regular walking, standing, hearing, and talking.
• Other Skills:  Ability to use hand-help computers and other technology.  Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Work Hours: Ability to work a flexible schedule based on area/facility needs.  Regular and dependable attendance.
