In this role, you would be performing diversified duties to maintain, repair, align and adjust all facilities equipment and devices.
A Day in the Life
You will be part of a team that
* Conducts periodic inspections to evaluate requests for repair.
* Identifies parts needed for replacement and places orders as necessary.
* Maintain building interior infrastructure.
* Complete Facilities work orders.
* Diagnose causes of malfunctioning of machines, motors, pumps, transformers and related mechanical, electro/mechanical components.
* Utilize knowledge of various trades such as mechanical, carpentry, painting, hydraulics, plumbing and welding.
* Assist with snow removal, furniture moving & cleaning as needed.
* Install IT and telephone cabling.
* Participate in Facility tenant equipment relocation move meetings
* Be available for emergency call-ins
Must Haves - Minimum Requirements
* High School Diploma or GeD
* 6+ years of experience
* Trade School Certificate/Degree - Electrician or HVACR
* Motor Vehicle License
Nice to Have
* Ability to operate vehicles requiring possession of a DOT medical certificate
* Knowledge of electro-mechanical principles
* Knowledge of basic plumbing principles
* Knowledge of equipment preventive and predictive maintenance principles
* Ability to inspect and evaluate mechanical equipment for proper operation and perform routine maintenance, cleaning and adjustment
* Abilty to conduct tests on equipment and to analyze and troubleshoot problems in electrical and mechanical equipment
* Skilled in the use of electrical and mechanical testing equipment such as multi-meters, signal tracing equipment, leak detectors, manifolds, vacuum gauges, air velocity meters, air capture hoods.
* Skilled in use of hand and power tools required in service electrical, mechanical, and plumbing equipment.
* Experience with performing lockout/tagout on simple and complex electrical distribution and mechanical systems.
* Knowledge of electrical hazards and appropriate safety practices required to be observed during equipment servicing to include arc flash and shock protection requirements.
* Ability to Inspect, repair and maintain HVACR equipment.
* Experience with renovation and/or maintenance projects involving Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration equipment.
* Possession of a Massachusetts HVAC Technicians license
