Primary Function:

Responsible for setting the standard for nursing practice for the company. This position oversees and provides training and consultation for the overall positive growth, clinical integrity and operational efficiency of all nursing clinical practice, including Medicare Part B.

Essential functions:

* Provides oversight and expertise for activities related to the development, maintenance and refinement of clinical content for nursing clinical practice.

* Identifies, pursues and develops strategic alliances with other health care organizations to collaboratively evolve clinical content and knowledge.

* Conducts clinical literature research to improve the clinical knowledge and content related to nursing practice in order to incorporate appropriate advances in clinical management and technology into company practice.

* Analyzes data and identifies company and industry trends for use in optimizing nursing practice, compliance and educational strategies.

* Assists regional leadership in planning, directing, organizing and facilitating individual and group education for Part A and Part B services, fee for service and risk sharing arrangements as needed.

* Develops and recommends changes to company policy to the governing body relating to nursing practice.

* Serves as a resource for local, regional and corporate personnel in regards to nursing practice.

* Develops/reviews educational materials intended to improve nursing practice in the organization.

* Collaborates with all business lines to identify and develop new programs to meet the requirements and expectations of the market. Collaborates in the development of measurement and reporting systems for monitoring program success. Analyzes and monitors existing internal program outcomes criteria and available external benchmarks.

* Evaluates outcomes related to nursing and rehabilitation services and oversees the development of action plans to improve performance. Supports a multidisciplinary approach.

Qualifications:

Required:

* Master's Degree from an accredited school of Nursing.

* Current, unencumbered license to practice as a Registered Nurse.

* Ten (10 ) years' health care experience; five (5) years in Home Health or Hospice, including at least three (3) in a management/supervisory role.

* Strong knowledge of Conditions of Participation for Home Care and state regulatory bodies.

* Multi-site and remote management experience.

* Knowledge of updated coding compliance guidelines, coding clinic references and CMS regulations.

* Knowledge of care delivery documentation systems and related electronic medical record documents.

Travel Requirements:

* Significant degree of travel.
