The Commissions Information System team provide Dealer, Employee, and Care Commissions and Incentives' reporting and modeling solution for leadership reporting, core business partner reporting, analytics, and manual payout support. This SQL database developer position will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and documentation of Commissions' reporting database system.

Minimum Required
  • Minimum of five years' work experience in SQL Server database development is desirable, preferably in the wireless industry using Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Strong knowledge of T-SQL, Stored Procedures, Functions, setting up jobs and using SSIS packages.
  • Candidate must be able to work with back-end systems & their support staff, customers, partners, front-end developers and other internal and external groups.
  • Excellent problem solving ability and working with various teams for resolutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage competing priorities and deliverables in a fast-paced, dead-line oriented environment.
  • Ability to extract, transform and load (ETL) transactional system data into a data mart for reporting using SQL Server Management Studio.
  • Ability to plan, design and implement a database with best practices (security, design, indexing, capacity monitoring etc.).
  • Ability to perform SQL Server Database Administration tasks.
  • Ability to troubleshoot upstream system issues that feeds into current data warehouse.
  • Ability to train and assist team members as well as partners in other organizations.
  • Superior organizational and problem solving, and analysis skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize and make independent decisions.
  • Excellent written and oral communication, and listening skills.
  • Detail and results oriented with initiative, ownership and follow-through to completion.
Essential Functions
  • Utilize development skills to build database systems and unit test new systems functionality per technical specifications.
  • Translate business, and functional requirements into documented technical specifications.
  • Perform implementation of Database servers.
  • Develop support documentation as required by the application support teams for acceptance of systems changes into production.
  • Build and unit test production deployment packages and implementation plans for scheduled systems enhancements.
  • Utilize departmental Systems Development Lifecycle Methodology as a guide for development activities.
  • Provide escalated support to operations during deployments and for production issues

  • Experience with performance tuning and optimization.
  • Experience with SQL administration and monitoring tools.
  • Experience with Tableau or Power BI.
  • Ability to translate issues/problems into solutions with tangible changes that improve the team or the organization.
