Our client in Shoreview is looking for an experienced full time  trainer for their Medical Device Facility.  This is a great opportunity with a Fortune 100 company.  Great benefits and company culture.   They are open to direct hire or contract to hire.

Provide flexibility in leadership, training, and general assistance to production staff. Ensure all products are manufactured with an ongoing commitment to product quality and patient safety. Responsible for following the established  QSR/ISO/MDD/CMDR compliant quality system practices.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Accomplishes manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations; training staff; development of training plans for new staff, development of training staff on new processes and procedures.
  • Continuous improvement on all training systems and procedures.
  • Provides planning; monitoring; and appraising job results; coaching, counseling,
  • Gives work direction as needed to coordinate, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all equipment, and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Accountable for trainee’s quality of work until certified in process.
  • Works closely with manufacturing supervisor.
  • Participate in Continuous Process Improvements.
  • Follow written procedures, verbal instructions, established manufacturing & inspection processes and applies good manufacturing practices to the inspection/production of components.
  • Interpret component documentation to determine inspection requirements.
  • Follow proper handling practices.
  • Perform preventive maintenance of processing machines and tooling.
  • Ensure training records are completed, filed, and maintained in compliance with QSR and ISO requirements.
  • Perform other duties assigned by supervisor.


Education and Work Experience:

  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in receiving inspection, quality inspection, and/or assembly/processing. Medical device experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years providing work direction or supervisory experience.
  • Minimum of two year technical or business degree
  • Experience with:
    • Inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and tool scopes.
    • Inspection using microscopes.
    • Inspection practices such as sampling plans and acceptance criteria.
    • Component/Assembly documentation such as written and drawn specifications including geometric tolerance.
    • Data Entry
    • Product Traceability
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Basic math skills
  • Basic Microsoft Word/EXCEL skills
