Food Plant Machine Operator

Food Plant Machine Operator Night Shift (6:00pm - 6:00am)

Object:

• An eighty-year old family-owned business is seeking a skilled machine operator with experience operating a Woodman, MiraPak or Matrix vertical form, fill and seal machine.
• Due to expanding business opportunities positions are open on the Night Shift (6:00 pm to 6:00 am).

Reports directly to: Production Manager

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be a U.S. citizen or have the required authorization to work in the U.S.
• Must be physically able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be capable of keeping accurate records.
• Must be capable of organizing and planning.
• Must be able to follow oral and written instructions
• Must have experience operating a Vertical Form-Fill-Seal Bagger packing material such as cake mix, pudding mix for other food items.

Job Responsibilities: Responsibilities shall include, but are not limited to:

• Responsible for setting up line equipment.
• Responsible for removing bags not scaled or formed properly from the line.
• Responsible for completing all paperwork for production and traceability, and collecting samples as needed.
• Responsible for monitoring the metal detector and completing the documentation.
• Responsible for keeping equipment clean.
• Responsible for moving pallets to the warehouse and stretch-wrapping the product.
• Responsible for following safety, GMP and food processing guidelines.
• Responsible for keeping work area clean.
• Responsible for communicating any information necessary to avoid confusion or mistakes.
• Shall be responsible for any task assigned by management.
