ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
* Conducts assigned game according to procedure.
* Exchanges cash for gaming chips according to procedure.
* Informs the Floorperson of any requests or unusual play.
* Issues to guests the proper amount of gaming chips after completion of the credit authorization procedures.
* Acknowledges, greets and converses with all guests, offering assistance and information to anyone showing an interest in table game play.
* Routinely strives to build and maintain a rapport with table games guests.
* Acts as a role model and presents oneself as a credit to Harrah's and encourages others to do the same.
* Adhere to all department/company policies and procedures.
* Completes all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
REQUIREMENTS:
* Must have dealing experience in Roulette and/or Craps.
* Must be 21 years of age or older.
* High School Diploma or equivalent required.
* Must have broad knowledge of casino rules, regulations, and procedures, including good gaming security.
* Previous guest service experience preferred.
* Strong guest service orientation, able to handle monetary transactions with a high degree of accuracy.
* Manual dexterity to handle numerous decks of cards and chips.
* Able to add, multiply, divide, and subtract accurately to figure payoffs.
* Ability to handle multiple tasks.
JOB DEMANDS:
* Lifts up to a maximum of 20 pounds and frequently lifts and/or carries objects weighing up to 10 pounds.
* Position requires 20% standing, 10% sitting, 70% walking.
* Requires some kneeling, stooping and reaching overhead; frequent climbing and very frequent bending, pushing and twisting.
* Position requires manual dexterity to deal and collect cards and chips.
* Must be able to work in a fast paced, stressful environment.
* Must be able to work in areas containing second hand smoke, high noise levels, bright lights and dust.
* Must be able to respond to speech, touch, smell, aural and visual cues.
