Job Summary:
Responsible for serving as a trusted business advisor, to Sales business leaders and stakeholders, to enable the sales business goals and outcomes by accelerating the development of critical capabilities needed to drive business success through a productive and engaged workforce. Supports the design and execution of sales learning and development strategy. Maintains an understanding of key business priorities and processes, partners with key business unit stakeholders to identify performance needs and gaps, collaborates with the Operations team on desired performance outcomes, and provides support to key business unit stakeholders to achieve the desired performance objectives. Builds and maintains strategic business relationships, build sponsorship, and provide expertise to an integrated learning network.

Your responsibilities:
* Establish, deepen and sustain key relationships with sales business leaders and mid-level managers to understand their business needs and related performance gaps, provide oversight and analysis when defining requirements, and demonstrate an understanding of processes and methodology in order to provide appropriate learning solutions
* Serve as primary interaction point from learning into the business through proactive consultation with business unit leaders. Identify business stakeholders to serve as subject matter experts (SMEs). Ensure learning solutions created meet the requirements of the client; Identify alternate non-training solutions when appropriate
* Conduct comprehensive training needs assessments, analyze business data, and identify trends for assigned business unit(s) to determine gaps, training objectives, audience needs, and methods of delivery and make recommendations accordingly
* Develop and execute strategic training plans, standard methodology, and validation tools to ensure effectiveness of training programs in conjunction with the Learning Directors
* Partner with Directors of Learning, Instructional Designers and Media Developers to:
         a. Combine instructional design principles, advanced adult-learning and learning transfer theory, multi-media technology and accelerated learning concepts to design and develop innovative solutions for challenging training projects
         b. Select optimal learning and delivery methods to maximize learning - classroom, e-learning, self-study, etc.
         c. Translate business unit policies and procedures into effective training materials
         d. Review content design and development to ensure alignment with learning needs and identified gaps
* Build field awareness of business unit learning products and programs. Assist in development of communication strategies for training programs
* Monitor progress and evaluate effectiveness of training programs for future needs and possible modifications using designated evaluation model
* Align learning strategy to organizational initiatives and department goals in collaboration with Directors of Learning. Communicate learning strategy and agenda to senior business leaders. Communicate rationale and ensures business alignment with Brookdale L&D policies and programs
* Coach business leaders around best fit learning strategies while collaborating with the Learning Operations Team to leverage existing and/or develop learning solutions to meet unique business requirements
* Assist in the implementation of any new learning technologies under the direction of the Director of Learning. Incorporate the use of industry best practices and emerging technology to support strategic planning and instruction as needed
* Assist the project manager in managing projects and programs using Learning and Development tools and processes. Participate in project team activities, as needed
* Assist Learning Directors in budget planning and preparation
* Provide team leadership and management of field training teams
* Develop field trainers" skillsets in facilitation, instructional design, measurement and evaluation, etc.



Required skills and qualifications:
* Bachelor"s degree in Business, Human Resources, Adult Education, or related field required. A Master"s Degree in Business or Leaning and Development is preferred
* Minimum seven years experience with at least two to four years of progressive experience in business and/or relationship building
* Minimum of five years of B-C sales experience
* Minimum of five years of sales training experience in a consumer brands or B-C environment
* Minimum of five years leading a sales or sales training team
* Proven experience in training, e-learning design and development, business acumen, and performance consulting
* Advanced project planning and management experience, including the ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years), and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the business plan
