The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for their own sales as well as responsible for various store tasks and store operations (see all items listed in this document).  We expect the additional responsibilities will take you off the sales floor 3-4 hours a week.  Schedule time off of the floor is as follows dependent on the number of reps in the store.

TASKS AND COMMUNICATION

 

Monthly Tasks

  • Assist the Store Manager in ensuring all MAP’s for the Wireless Specialists are completed by the 5th of each month.

  • Help reconcile daily cash outs and deposits that do not correctly balance (escalate to Store Manager/District Sales Manager as needed)

  • Help with escalated customer service, billing issues, etc. (escalate to Store Manager/District Sales Manager as needed)

  • Help with escalated inventory issues and work with inventory to resolve all open items.

  • Assist the Store Manager in preparing Wireless Specialist’s reviews.

  • Assist the Store Manager in facilitating the new hire training utilizing the New Hire Training Program, ensuring all required elements are completed.

  • Assist the Store Manager by pre-screening job applicants and conducting interviews.

  • Assist the Store Manager by completing inventory counts on handset and accessory inventory as required by the Inventory department.

  • Score 90% or higher on monthly Audits conducted by District Sales Manager.

  • Score 100% on Quarterly Premier Audits conducted by Verizon.

  • Assist the Store Manager in ensuring all month end cash paperwork is sent to corporate

 

Weekly and Daily Tasks

  • Weekly one-on-one with District Sales Manager, reviewing all Sales Observation Forms,Calling Observation Forms, Skill Drills and other documents and tools.

  • Influence and Support other Wireless Specialists

    • Complete at least 1 Sales Observation Form for each Wireless Specialist weekly for review with the DSM during your weekly one-on-one

    • Complete at least 1 Calling Observation Form for each Wireless Specialist weekly for review with the DSM during your weekly one-on-one

    • Complete Skill Drills as needed to assist Wireless Specialist’s in enhancing their knowledge and performance

    • Assist the Store Manager in counting all Wireless Specialist’s cash drawers each Monday and verify that proper change is available

    • Assist the Store Manager (when necessary) by taking each Wireless Specialist’s cash deposit to the bank each morning (including your own).See the Bank Deposit policy for details

    • Assist the Store Manager in reviewing daily deposit paperwork for each rep daily

    • Manage 5* Program according to Russell Cellular 5* Guidelines (VZ)

    • Manage The Lasting Relationship Program in RQ4 to help each team member achieve 20 activities per day (callbacks, sales opportunities, follow-ups, etc.)

  • Assist the Store Manager with Inventory Management

    • Receive daily inventory

    • Ensure all deliveries are reviewed and report any damaged packaging immediately to delivery driver

    • Proof packing slips to ensure all inventory arrived (report missing or extra items to Inventory Office)

    • Prepare and ship recalls

    • Daily phone stock count

    • Weekly device serial number count in RQ4

    • Check live devices for proper security

    • Place orders for literature on the 1st and 15th of every month

  • Assist the Store Manager with Store Management

    • Manage shift scheduling to cover store hours and limit overtime.

    • Verify store employee’s hours worked.

    • Create and approve work schedules by the 25th of each month for the next calendar month.

    • Place orders weekly for office supplies

    • Verify manual contracts are turned into the Corporate Office daily

    • Ensure all EOP tools are completed including MAP’s, SOFs and COF’s
